Textbook reading

Johnsons reconstitution:
He was sthe president of the democrats of the united states at that time and he had a reconstruction plan that However this plan did not give the people who used to be slaves any rights and did not make them equal to the whites at all. However the radicals added an amendment that gave them rights.

Black code:
These were laws created to restrain black people's laws so they would still be treated less than the whites. These laws included: Black men who had no jobs could be fined and hit or even sold for labor. Also blacks were not allowed to have land that is not in rural areas. Or even that they were not allowed to meet after the sunset.

14th and 15th ammendments:
The fourteenth ammendment stated that all people born or naturalized in the united states had rights and no one would take them away from them without law engagment; The fifteenth ammendment stated that all american citizens no matter what color or race they were had the right to vote.

Radical reconstruction:
This was a political party that thought that blacks should be equal and treated like everybody else. They wanted to give civil rights to african americans. The president disagreed with them because he did not have the same opinion he therefor he suppresed the 14th ammendment so the blacks did not have rights anymore. The radical reconstitution had a plan it was to make the south into 5 districts ruled by northern generals. At the end they got what they wated and brought back the 14th ammendment.

Carpetbagger:
The people from the south gave his name to the northerners who decided to immigrate to the south at the end of the civil war. The southerners thought that these actions were due to economical profit because of the problem in the south.

Ken burns

In the video i learned about how they treated the slaves in the south. When they were sold, they took no regards on sending them with ther family members to keep them united. The owners of the slaves treated them like objects just because they were black. They hit them and made their lives miserable. I also learned about the underground railroad which was what took them to Canada. When they arrived to Canada they were free and the slave bounties could not take them back. However if they found them in a free state in the north they had could bring them back.
In the north however since slavery was abolished they were unaware of the misery happening in the south. A man wroe a book called uncle tom's cabin and explained everything. Of course the people from the south did not like this book and wrote books that were opposite of his.The video also talked about the civil war and how much damage it caused since it was when guns got created.

What led to the civil war

The compromise of 1850

The compromise of 1850 was made by Henry clay. This man was not part of the north or the south and he made his compromise for many reasons. First he made it so that california, would become a free state and other states such as arizona, nevada and new mexico became free to choose what they wanted, being free or not. The compromise of 1850 was also about making Washington D.C a state with no slave trade but will keep slavery. Also this compromise was about texas who gave up the claims to New mexico for $10 million. The last part was the fugitive slave act it stated that all the citizens of the U.S had to help in the recovery of all the slaves that escaped.
This compromise caused even more tensions between the north and the south of the u.s between the slave states and the free states.

The kansas nebraska act

A senator calles Stephen Douglas introduced this act. This act stated that The two states Kansas and Nebraska had the right to choose wether they wanted to be free states or slave states. after this act was installed many people moved to these states to convince them to become slave states or free states. This created lots of fights and for the first time violence between the people against slavery and the people for slavery.

Presidential election of 1860

The presidential election of 1860 created lots of conflicts. The people from the south didn't want a president from the north and the people from the north didn't want a president from the south. This created lots of tensions between the north and the south and finally Abraham Lincoln was voted president. However the people from the south had no contributions to this election since none of them voted. This infuriated the southern people and made them not want to be part of the nation anymore. This was how the civil war started.

Perfect place

After i finish university i would like to go live in New york. New york has been my favorite place since i visited it last year, i Think it is wonderful and has all that i Like. I love busy places with always something going on. My sister will be living there so i will get to see her very often. I am planning on opening a hotel brand and possibly a restaurant since gastronomie has always interested me. I really think that New york would be erfect for such a job since it is one of the most visited places in the world. The only disadvantage of living in New york would be that it is very far from morocco and it would be hard to see my family often.

American politics

1. the differences between jefferson and hamilton is that hamilton didn't trust his people compared to jefferson and he wanted the government to be in charge of the economy. On the other hand Jefferson trusted the people and thought that they should make their own choices and that the government shouldn't always be inforcing too much power.

2. A political party are people who only want to be elected to be in charge of policies.

3.John adams was the second president of the united states of america. Some of the difficulties he faced were that the french wanted a war against him. Also at a period of time all americans needed to pay a certain amount of money to be able to communicate with the french foreign minister this was called the xyz affair.

4.Thomas jefferson was the third president of the united states. he was elected in 1801. The first thing he did was reduce tasks and reduce the army members. Next he bought back louisiana which had been belonging to france. He was reelected in 1804. Jefferson created the Embargo act which is that trade with other countries cannot happen anymore. He retired in 1808

Key words

. Right of revolution is that every person has the right to revolt against the government if they are not agreeing with something. They should not be sacrificed or put in prison for standing up for their rights.

Self determination is the fact that people should decide how they want to be governed and should be taking example on other countries but focusing on their own.

Popular sovereignty is the fact that the citizens are the ones giving power to the ruler so he can lead them.

Social contract what is imposing the government to spend less so they can give back creditors their money.

Natural rights are part of the declaration of independence. They are that some rights are not politically chosen. They are imposed by god and found in nature. They do not have to do with society or polity.

I put right of revolution first because i think it is very important to be able to stand up for our rights withought being punished because everyone has a right to say what they want and to defend their opinion. It is their country and they are supposed to improve it together and not punish people who are trying to help make it better.

Migration to and from morocco

Reasons why people migrate from morocco are because in other countries there are better educations and sometimes they have a job opportunity in another county that forces them to move away. Another reason is for university or college purposes, after graduation some students decide to go finish their education in a different country. It is also to teach them independence and responsibility and to learn to stop depending on their parents. Also some people decide to move away because they have family in other countries.College students migrate from morocco to go to universities or colleges. Some people Who do not have jobs or have better job opportunity away from morocco move away. People Who have family in other countries migrate from morocco.People Who have job opportunities in morocco move here. Also some people move here because life in morocco is less expensive then in other countries. Maybe they move because they like the weather or want to discover other places and so come to morocco.

Why is history important?

1. history is important because it stores events from the past and so they can never be forgotten and important people from the past can be remembered.

2. History is important because it allows us not to make the sam mistakes from the past.

3.History informs us of what happened in the past so we can be aware of the world before we existed.

We are the future history, and we are what people will be studying later on. History has thought me how life was compared to how it is now. I am more aware of all the catastrophies and way of living in ancient times.

Colonization in morocco

Morocco was colonized by france in 1912 and we got our independance on november 18th 1956. The colonization of france

allowed us to speak french. The second language in morocco is french. The colonization of france brought very good thngs to

morocco, they constructed bridges routes, trains... The bad thing they brought is that they made us loose our identity, we also

lost some of our culture. Now not everyone has a perfect arabic and some people can't even say a full sentence in arabic without

putting in a french word. They also introduced their culture and language that made us loose our identity.

terrorists caught for trying to trafic a plane.

3 english men where caught for trying to trick planes going from england to america.Abdulla Ahmed Ali Tanvir Hussain and Assad Sarwar put home-made liquid bombs in juice bottles and checked them in there  luggage. They were planning to explode the bombs in the middle of the flight. This could have cause many deaths and a lot of damage even more than the 11th of september attack. Fortunatly the terrorists got caught on time before they could cause any damage. They were planning to attack 7 flights going to the U.S and o Canada. Apparently these three men were already caught a while ago for trying to use liquid bombs, but the case was abandoned because they could not decide whether their plans extended to detonating the devices on planes. Apparently this attack was directed by al-Qaeda.

Skills for life

I had a discussion with my parents about the skills they need for their family and work lives. My mother said that she had to be very patient with my little brother when she thought him thing. He doesn't get it the first time so she must teach him in various ways, for this she must have a lot of patience. She also needs to be very clear and thorough with the rules and punishments she sets for us. For work, she must be very concentrated and determined to achieve what she wants. She told me that we should choose very carefully our job so we can be enthusiastic for what we are working on and therefore do it better.

why blogging is good.

I think blogging is great. There are many reasons why it is good, here are 5 of them:

- First of all blogging is really fun , and you can learn things without even realizing it.
- secondly it increases our writing skills, by writing everyday we enhance our writing.
-next, the work you post on your blog is stored in the blog so there is no way you can lose it or forget to hand it in.
-Blogging also extends the walls of the classroom, it shows that you can work even though the teacher isn't anywhere near you.
- the fifth reason is that parents can access their child's work at anytime.
