Johnsons reconstitution:
He was sthe president of the democrats of the united states at that time and he had a reconstruction plan that However this plan did not give the people who used to be slaves any rights and did not make them equal to the whites at all. However the radicals added an amendment that gave them rights.

Black code:
These were laws created to restrain black people's laws so they would still be treated less than the whites. These laws included: Black men who had no jobs could be fined and hit or even sold for labor. Also blacks were not allowed to have land that is not in rural areas. Or even that they were not allowed to meet after the sunset.

14th and 15th ammendments:
The fourteenth ammendment stated that all people born or naturalized in the united states had rights and no one would take them away from them without law engagment; The fifteenth ammendment stated that all american citizens no matter what color or race they were had the right to vote.

Radical reconstruction:
This was a political party that thought that blacks should be equal and treated like everybody else. They wanted to give civil rights to african americans. The president disagreed with them because he did not have the same opinion he therefor he suppresed the 14th ammendment so the blacks did not have rights anymore. The radical reconstitution had a plan it was to make the south into 5 districts ruled by northern generals. At the end they got what they wated and brought back the 14th ammendment.

Carpetbagger:
The people from the south gave his name to the northerners who decided to immigrate to the south at the end of the civil war. The southerners thought that these actions were due to economical profit because of the problem in the south.
